As a private specialist office in ophthalmology named “AVIATION OPHTHALMOLOGY” we were founded in 2006.

Our main activity is functional diagnostics of the senses of vision, which includes: examination of visual acuity, refraction (determination of correction of glasses and contact lenses), oculomotor balance, colour vision, biomicroscopic examination of transparent media, examination of the fundus and measurement of eye pressure.

By registering as “AVIATION OPHTHALMOLOGY MEDICAL CENTER” on February 6, 2019, after my certification as Aeromedical Examiner-RS/AME/001 by the Directorate of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Serbia on April 19, 2019, we expanded our activity to aeromedical assessment of aviation personnel and issuing Class 1, 2, 3 Medical Certificates, LAPL and cabin crew.

In our work on the basis of knowledge and experience, we are particularly dedicated to the medical rehabilitation of aviation personnel, who were temporarily denied medical certification for health reasons and to their full professional rehabilitation by remaining at the command of the aircraft and in the position of ATCO.

Some of the more common problems we have seen, and were able to help pilots obtain their medical certificate include: heart attacks, heart bypass surgery, diabetes, heart arrhythmia, high blood pressure, cancer, heart valve repair & replacement kidney stones, and eye disease (glaucoma) and surgery (cataract, refractive, retinal ablation).
